Class Descriptions

Foundations

This class meets the Second Saturday of each month and pre-registration is required.  Call 458-YOGA or email info@infin8yoga.com

Foundations is designed for not only beginning students but also long term practitioners who want to focus on the basics of alignment.  We will begin by focusing on the breath and six movements of the spine.  We will use anatomical diagrams and postural observation to move through standing, forward bending, sitting, and lying on the back and stomach which provide the basis for every yoga posture.  This awareness can be translated to our everyday movements and habitual patterns, as well as for safe practice in any class from gentle to vigorous.

Hatha
Basic term for yoga asana practice using breath and movement to quiet the mind, bring greater awareness and vitality to the body.

Vinyasa Flow

Vigorous flowing style of yoga linking breath and movement to develop strength and vitality of the body.  We encourage students to have a good grasp on the alignment and safety of the body in yoga poses before attending this vigorous class.

Regular Guy/Gal Yoga

This is a no-OM-zone for those who wish to derive the benefits of yoga without any woo-woo yoga talk, prayer hands, chanting or pretzel like positions.   The focus is on the physical practices of yoga in developing a dynamic strength that includes agility.  Many attending use yoga to improve their performance and recovery time in their other activities such as golf, hockey, soccer, running, biking, skiing, martial arts, weight lifting, snow machining, hunting, fishing etc.

Yin Yoga
